To those who felt it necessary to speak ill of this video:I don't believe that there is anyone that hasn't made a dumb mistake in their lives, this one just happened to get caught on tape.
This was shared on our website and yes, we expected some criticism for the video however, we feel that the cruel and downright rude things that have been said and shared across the internet have been uncalled for. He was not drunk, he was actually not driving on the tree as so many have stated, it was the angle of the video and, his size never had and never will have any bearing on this video.
No, the correct equipment to recover his vehicle was not with us on this trail, was that our mistake? Yes, it was and it would not happen like that again.
I'm saddened that as a four wheel drive community we find it necessary to berate someone for a rookie mistake in judgment instead of offering the help and coaching that we all needed at one time or another.
